At DVSEtiquette, I believe that charm, civility, and good manners are not lost arts—they’re timeless tools for success.
Through engaging, personalized lessons for children, teens, and adults, I bring the tradition of etiquette back into everyday life with warmth, grace, and purpose.
Rooted in a legacy of Southern hospitality passed down by my mother Sallie and my grandmother Bessie, my journey in embracing etiquette skills began around the Sunday dinner table, by understanding the value of a well-set table, a polished silver spoon, and a heartfelt “please” and “thank you.”
Gradually, I learned other ‘soft skills’ that enabled me to matriculate successfully through Spelman College, and on the campus of Morehouse College, where I took my first business etiquette course. I entered the workforce, obtained my M.S. in Publishing from Pace University, and spent over 20 years in the publishing field.
Since earning my certification through the American School of Protocol in 2014, my mission has been to share the enduring values of decorum and confidence without arrogance, with others—creating a kinder, more respectful world, one thoughtful gesture at a time.
Everyone should have the necessary tools for success, and this includes those “soft skills” that make us feel confident and ready to handle situations with ease. Whether you are learning how to hold your fork and knife during Continental style, worried about how to maintain eye contact during your upcoming poster presentation, unsure how to handle a delicate friendship situation, or just want to remember which bread plate is yours, these online and in-person etiquette classes will put you at ease~no matter your age group! Please join me as we discuss how to navigate the world with Decorum, Values, and Success through Etiquette!
Let’s bring etiquette back together—beautifully, naturally, and with a smile.
